Swys 2011 Stubai- Day 2 & 3 Great Flying -gary Completes Licence
We are sorry we did not post anything yesterday as we had a great days flying!
Then we had a Braai in the evening and were a bit tired, so a realtively early night.
Gary put in nearly 2hours of flying in 5 flights.
The rest of the family starting with Amy and then Laura did a tandem.

Today Wednesday, we were expecting a strong south wind that would shorten our days flying.
Conditons looked OK at breakfast , so I double checked the actuals and the forecast and we headed out

We woke up this Morning to filtered sun through the clouds.
We had a spectacular view to the west of the Glacier enhanced by the yesterday's dump of snow down to 2000m.
So I looked out to the east and the launch of Elfer and Kreuzjoch.
Yes it was sunny! and there was snow down to 2000m.
Gary and I had a quick breakfast then headed off to the Elfer.
Swys 2011 Stubai Summary.
We left Stubai on Saturday for Bassano.
Gary Amstutz and family took the train from Innsbruck to Zurich via friends in St Gallen.
Kevin's Glider and equipment arrived in Innsbruck so we collected that after dropping Gary at the Station.
we were able to fly everyday except 1, Thursday, when we went to the Swaroski KristalWelt park and Innsbruck old town.
Gary did 20 flights and 5 hours 40 + of solid airtime.
Kevin used equipment from Parafly to get in a few flights, his first in the Alps.

Yesterday was a travel day from Chamonix to Neustift via Zurich airport.
We collected the Amtutz family headed out on the A3.
We had a 40 minute delay at the Basle intersection with a traffic jam.
Then had another delay at the Sargans intersection.
So we only arrived in Stubai at 17:30, 2 hours later than planned.
