Jan Minnaar, the Chief Flying Instructor, started paragliding in 1991,
and became an instructor in April 1992, and has been running his own school ever since.
In 2004 Jan was awarded the Gold Wings Award from the Aero Club of South Africa
for his significant contribution to Sport Aviation in South Africa.
He was a member of the Protea Paragliding team in 1993, 2011 and 2013.
Jan was one of the first tandem pilots in the country, and was the National Licensing and Safety Officer for 12 years.
Jan also recieved his PPG instructor rating in 2006.
